Overview

IMP-Days is a biennial conference series organised by the Polymer Materials Engineering Laboratory (IMP), showcasing current and emerging research directions in polymer science.

The 2026 (3rd) edition focuses on Soft Polymer Networks and Gels, bringing together chemistry, physico-chemistry, and physics perspectives on soft, highly deformable and responsive materials.

Abstract deadline: 10 January 2026 (updated deadline on the conference site)

Early-bird deadline: 13 March 2026

Registration deadline: 10 April 2026

Registration fees (optional to display): Regular €500 early / €600 late; Student €350 early / €400 late.

Topics at a glance

The conference welcomes contributions across key themes, including:

  • Elastomers (e.g., silicones and rubbers)

  • Bio-based gels (natural polymers/solvents; bio-based monomers)

  • Hydrogels for biomedical applications

  • Hybrid gels, colloids, and nanocomposites

  • Stimuli-responsive gels
