Call for papers - ACS Symposium "Solvent Interactions with Cellulose"

We are organizing a Symposium on “Solvent Interactions with Cellulose” at the Spring ACS meeting to be held on March 21 – 25, 2010, in San Francisco, California, USA. We are inviting submissions in the following topics:

1. Advances in fibre pretreatments to enhance cellulose dissolution
2. Effects of solvents on the cellulose supramolecular structure
3. Novel cellulose functionalisation due to solvent-cellulose interactions
4. Alternative methods for cellulose swelling, dissolution and shaping

The deadline is approaching fast. Please submit a paper at www.acs.org (meetings) by October 19th.
