EPNOE Conference 2013 - NICE (France)

The 3rd International Polysaccharide Conference EPNOE 2013 “Polysaccharides and polysaccharide-derived products, from basic science to applications” held in Nice, France on October 21st - 24th, 2013 was, according to unanimous opinion, a huge success.

450 Participants from 45 countries met in Acropolis Convention and Exhibition Center, where they could listen to almost 230 oral presentations in 4 conference rooms and read 200 posters and discuss with their authors during a 2-hour-long poster session on Wednesday, October 23rd. The participants enjoyed good weather, French cuisine and took part in the gala dinner in the famous Palais de la Mediteranee with its exquisite food and original shows.

On Sunday, October 20th, 85 students and researchers participated in the pre-conference course on Challenges and perspectives in making materials from polysaccharides”, during which 9 experts in the field of polysaccharides gave a 40-minute lecture.

On Tuesday, October 22nd, a special Paper Writing Course was organized by Wendy Hurp, Food Science Executive Publisher of Elsevier. More than 60 participants took part in a lecture and a short workshop on how to write scientific papers.

During closing ceremony on Thursday, October 24th the winners of the prizes were announced.
